JESSICA THOMAS
Jessica is currently working with clients who are choosing photography.
I trained and certified as a birth doula with CAPPA back in 2013. I am also one of the most experienced Birth Photographers in the Western Pennsylvania area. I have trained and mentored under some of the most respected and successful birth photographers in the world. I realized as a doula early on that one of the most previous gifts I could give my clients was their birth stories captured for them forever. That is how I became Pittsburgh’s Doulatographer! There is nothing more priceless than memories of holding your baby for the first time. There is nothing more intimate and intense than the connection between you and your birth partner and team.

I have been a doula and photographer to a diverse range of births here in the Pittsburgh area. I welcome any and all kinds of births families hope to have. I have experience in all the major Pittsburgh hospitals, The Midwife Center, and home births (planned and unexpected oopsies). I have taken special trainings on VBACs and the use of the Rebozo during labor.
I strive to provide every client I serve with the upmost quality care and support. Empowering families is my goal, both through validating and helping them with any decisions that come their way and showing them how amazing they are in their birth stories I capture.

Aside from being a doulatog I am married to a man I’ve known more than half my live. We met in the tiny rural town we were both raised in Nevada. We have two kiddos, a boy and girl. We also have an adorable Goldendoodle. We live in the South Hills. I am obsessed with food, movies, and music. My favorite place to eat is Everyday Noodles. I love the Carnegie Museums, strolling “dawntawn” to North Shore, The Point, Oakland, and The Strip. I have a college degree in music education and am a former wild rock and roll guitarist in my previous young life.
