Hi!  I’m Tracy.  I live in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.  I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Carl.  We have two sons, Marshall and Benjamin.  I have a B.S. in Public Health from Slippery Rock University.  I’ve known for a long time I wanted to be in a health related field, but wasn’t sure what direction to go…the options always seemed overwhelming.  While trying to figure out my dreams, I started working as an office manager for a local nonprofit.

While I’ve always been content with my job, I knew it wasn’t my calling in life.  Looking back, I’ve always had an interest in women’s health and birth long before I ever started my own family.  It just didn’t occur to me until 2016 after I had my son that I wanted to turn that into a career!  I had finally found my true passion in life; caring for other women throughout their labor and birth to make it the best experience possible for them.  I attended doula training in April of 2017 and am currently working on certification through DONA International.

When preparing for the birth of my son, I had done a ton of research so that I could be as prepared as possible to avoid one of those “horror story” births people love to tell pregnant women about.  Through my research, I discovered doulas and decided to hire one.  My doula was there for me every step of the way and was a key part in me achieving my dream birth.   I knew from then on, I wanted to help women feel that same joy and empowerment that I got to experience.

My main goal as a doula is to help women achieve their ideal birth experience, whatever that may look like to them.  It is such an honor to be invited to share these special moments with women and their families.  I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your birth journey!
